Pay Rate: $27.73 per hour
Location of Assignment: 8151 Peters Road, FL
Schedule: Monday-Friday; Regular Hours
Target Start Date: Sep 15, upon completion of new hire onboarding

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of complex legal related tasks with minimum supervision. Provides professional assistance and support to the legal staff in the development, research, management and resolution of legal issues involving their respective business units. Prepares and drafts moderately complex legal documents, agreements and pleadings related to litigation and non-litigation matters.

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of complex legal related tasks with minimum supervision. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide broad legal support including research, document drafting, and internal system maintenance
- Conduct legal research and analysis using online databases, statutes, regulations, and case law
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, patent applications, motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and resolutions
- Support discovery processes by analyzing records and compiling relevant documentation
- Prepare internal memoranda and written summaries of legal research and recommendations
- Assist with deposition preparation including outlines and questions
- Manage and maintain internal databases and legal filing systems
- Conduct paralegal file audits and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal clients to support litigation and compliance needs.
- Perform additional legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Undergraduate studies in business administration, insurance or other related area preferred. Designations: Certification in paralegal studies preferred.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years' experience as a paralegal with proven performance.

Knowledge:
- In depth knowledge of paralegal concepts, procedures and practices.
- Proven knowledge in operations, practices and procedures of general counsel or civil litigation.
- Proven knowledge of filing requirements of relevant courts and administrative agencies.
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge in legal research and complex deposition motion practices as well as appellate procedures.

Skills/ Competencies:
- Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage projects independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly in both formal and informal settings
- Proficiency in legal and business software and databases
- Experience with Personal Injury Protection ( "PIP ") preferred
