Material Handling Technician I - 2nd Shift

Position: Material Handling Technician – Shift 2
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.35/hour ($18.50/hour base + 10% shift differential)
Contract Duration: 12-months contract with potential for extension or conversion

About Our Client:

One of our major clients is a key division focused on advancing diagnostic solutions. As part of the biotech industry, this division plays a pivotal role in developing and producing diagnostic equipment and technologies that improve healthcare by enabling more accurate disease detection and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Unpack and inspect goods received against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records of received goods; reject unsatisfactory items as necessary.
• Lift heavy items and operate a forklift when required.
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, including posting weights and shipping charges.
• Prepare goods for final shipment.
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials to inventory and manufacturing lines.
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly production as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with moderate supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience.
• English proficiency to ensure and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Basic computer skills, with competency in standard software packages (Word and Excel).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures
