Material Handling Technician I - 2nd Shift
Position: Material Handling Technician – Shift 2
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.35/hour ($18.50/hour base + 10% shift differential)
Contract Duration: 12-months contract with potential for extension or conversion

About Our Client:
One of our major clients is a key division focused on advancing diagnostic solutions. As part of the biotech industry, this division plays a pivotal role in developing and producing diagnostic equipment and technologies that improve healthcare by enabling more accurate disease detection and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Unpack and inspect goods received against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records of received goods; reject unsatisfactory items as necessary.
- Lift heavy items and operate a forklift when required.
- Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, including posting weights and shipping charges.
- Prepare goods for final shipment.
- Examine, stock, and distribute materials to inventory and manufacturing lines.
- Prepare kitting packages for assembly production as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with moderate supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of work experience.
- English proficiency to ensure and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer skills, with competency in standard software packages (Word and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures
