BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED
Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the department across a wide range of functions, including standard settlement, break and fail resolution, stakeholder communication, training, risk escalation, procedure updates, and active contribution to ongoing projects such as new Settlements Platforms, Predictive Analytics, Risk Matrix, AGILE methodologies, and the LEAN agenda.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate should have some experience and interest in the financial services or investment banking industry. This is a temporary role within the Securities Settlements department of the Shared Services and Bank Operations organization, based in our Baltimore office.
The individual will join a production team of 30 FTEs supporting Fixed Income and Equity products across the American, Latin American, and Canadian markets, as well as their associated critical functions.
Primary responsibilities of Securities Settlements include:

- Executing settlements for Fixed Income and Equity securities
- Managing firm deficits and overall inventory
- Minimizing buy-in and regulatory risk
- Executing client asset transfers
- Managing segregation of client assets for Fixed Income, Institutional Equity, Bank Resource Management, and Prime Brokerage divisions
- Ability to provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, high-volume, and time-sensitive environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with strong risk awareness
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Equity and/or Fixed Income products and settlement market rules is a plus, but not required
