Job Title: Operational Readiness Project Manager
Location: 100% Onsite – Research Triangle Park, Raleigh, NC
Duration: 6-month contract (strong potential to extend up to 1 year)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours with occasional overtime as needed
Position Overview
We are seeking an Operational Readiness Project Manager for an on-site contract role supporting a large-scale drug substance manufacturing modernization project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition for operational and quality assurance processes. Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory environments is required, along with strong exposure to MES and EBR systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead business process mapping sessions
- Develop and build out project schedules
- Track and drive adherence to documentation updates
- Partner with matrix teams to assess EBR impacts across areas
- Provide subject matter support on MES and EBR projects (experience highly preferred)
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of experience in a project management support capacity with demonstrated success
- Strong background in operational readiness and quality assurance within large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Hands-on experience working on or with Manufacturing Electronic Systems (MES) or Electronic Batch Records (EBR) projects
- Familiarity with Project Management Tools based on PMBOK and PMI principles
- Proven ability to operate within highly regulated, compliance-driven environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional team collaboration in a matrixed environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and project management software including MS Project and Smartsheet
- Experience with project portfolio management software
Work Environment
- Onsite daily at an operational pharmaceutical facility in RTP, NC
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime required
- Frequent interaction with project teams, contractors, and site operations staff
- Open-office environment with active, collaborative work settings
- Ability to work effectively within a matrixed team structure is essential
