Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support hardware design and development programs for next-generation wearable technology. In this role, you will work closely with hardware engineering teams to drive design deliverables, manage hardware component readiness, and coordinate development schedules for large-scale consumer electronics products. The TPM will ensure program clarity, align cross-functional teams, and manage timelines across engineering, product, and supplier partners while supporting design convergence, manufacturability readiness, and system build planning to meet mass production goals for upcoming wearable hardware initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating and driving engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans
- Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs
- Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership
- Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints
- Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners
- Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
- 5+ years of experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics
- Experience working with a large number of cross-functional partners
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes
- Experience operating across multiple teams and programs
- Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of program top issue tracking
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a hardware engineering role
- Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components
- Experience working with a large number of cross-functional partners
Scope of Work and Deliverables:
- Product design convergence and design lock
- DFM and OK2fab
- Material drives to system builds
- DOE and Build Matrix definition and planning
- Scheduling and planning of HW engineering deliverables
- Support Smart Glasses program planning and build strategy
