Production Planner
Job Title: Production Planner
Location: 1080 US Highway 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876
Duration: 1 year contract potential extension or conversion to direct hire
Pay Rate: $27.54 - $37.32 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm this position is hybrid with 3 days from office.
Job Description:
As a Production Planner at Roche, you will play a pivotal role in managing inventory, purchasing, and production planning to support manufacturing replenishment and new product launches. This position ensures that material supply aligns with production requirements, company policies, and financial goals, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain a smooth product flow.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, purchase, and manage inventory to ensure supply levels meet production requirements and company policies.

Analyze demand and take ownership of production and purchase orders.

Collaborate with vendors, procurement, and value stream teams to resolve technical material issues.

Create, review, and communicate delivery schedules with suppliers, production, and warehouse teams.

Review and adjust safety stock levels, re-order points, and planning parameters.

Manage Material Master Data (lead time, lot size, safety stock, etc.) to support planning accuracy.

Prepare and lead meetings on production priorities, raw material availability, and timelines.

Identify and mitigate risks related to materials approaching end of life.

Manage direct inventory valued up to $60M, including cover days of inventory and write-offs.

Interface with customer service, marketing, quality, and sales to resolve production scheduling conflicts.

Support LEAN/6Sigma, Kanban, VMI, and consignment initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work-related experience (Bachelor's preferred).

2+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain.

Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems.

LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Experience with Kanban, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), and consignment implementation.

Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with flexibility in dynamic environments.

Demonstrated ability to build and leverage professional networks.
