Job Description:

• We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team onsite at MPK. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend services, create and maintain APIs, and help partners integrate their applications with Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) devices.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner technical teams to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Assist partners in integrating their apps/services with AR/VR devices and APIs.
• Develop a deep understanding of Reality Labs platforms, APIs, and underlying systems.
• Ensure thorough documentation and follow best practices to support internal and partner engagement.
• Design, build, and scale backend infrastructure to support large-scale distributed systems.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

• 4–5 years of backend development experience, focusing on building, maintaining, and scaling backend infrastructure for large-scale systems serving millions of users.
• Strong software development skills in Java, Native Development Kit (C++), and/or PHP.
• Proven experience with distributed systems.
• Experience in designing and maintaining scalable backend services and API endpoints (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Expertise in debugging and maintaining scalable services and APIs.
• Prior experience working in large backend frameworks, backend infrastructure, or high-scale web systems.

 
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
 
Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Candidates with prior experience in companies building large backend implementations serving millions of users are an excellent fit. Exposure to distributed systems, large-scale infrastructure, and backend frameworks is highly desirable.
