Intake Care Representative

Tailored Management Services Inc Bloomington, MN (Onsite) Full-Time


Intake Care Representative (Remote – Behavioral Health Support)

Location: Remote (any U.S. time zone, must work CST hours)
Schedule: Will be assigned a shift between 7am – 7:00pm CST, Monday–Friday
Pay: $18–$21/hour (based on experience)

Our Intake Care Representatives are the first point of contact for members and providers navigating behavioral health and substance use services. In this role, your compassion and technical skills will help ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time.




What You’ll Do

As an Intake Care Representative, you’ll be the voice on the other end of the line, guiding members and providers through sensitive conversations with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

  • Answer inbound calls from members and providers regarding behavioral health and substance use services

  • Actively listen, assess needs, and triage for clinical intervention or additional support

  • Provide information on eligibility, benefits, provider referrals, and authorization requirements

  • Partner with clinical teams to ensure seamless handoffs and timely support

  • Document calls accurately, process authorizations, and follow up on issues as needed

  • Deliver resources and solutions with a focus on first call resolution

This is a structured, inbound call center role where most of your day will be spent supporting callers with a wide variety of needs.




What We’re Looking For

Top 3 must-have skills:
Empathy – comfort handling sensitive mental health conversations
Tech Savvy – able to navigate multiple applications at once with ease
Multitasking – juggle listening, documenting, and problem-solving in real time

Other key qualities:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Independent problem-solving abilities

  • Prior customer service experience (healthcare or behavioral health preferred)

  • Ability to excel in a structured, remote team environment

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection




Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health, or related field
    OR bachelor’s in another field with 2–3 years of behavioral health experience




Training & Support

  • Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm CST

  • You’ll begin by learning member-focused calls, then advance to provider support as you grow in the role.
