Mechanic

Role Title / Position: Mechanic 
Work Location: 700 N 9th St, Broken Arrow, OK 74012
Pay rate: $21.73/hr
Expected Duration: 6 months

• Apply fundamental principles and concepts, progressing from routine tasks to more varied and complex activities with experience.
• Participate in subject matter training as required to gain advanced skills.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation methods.
• Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials to develop patterns or use templates.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, routers) to cut, bend, block, form, or straighten materials.
• Shape metal over anvils, blocks, or other forms.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces.
• Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, or bond parts to assemble products.
• Install assemblies in supportive frameworks per blueprints.
• Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.
• Repair and maintain sheet metal products.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Trade School in Mechanical or Airframe (A&P) preferred

• 2 years of relevant experience required

• PC knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry
• Familiarity with MRP and Quality Management Systems preferred
• Aviation-related shop experience preferred
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, wood, and metalworking equipment
• Skilled in assembly or production with aptitude for related practices
• Able to operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines)
