Job Title: Electrical Engineering Program Manager
Location: Redmond, WA
Contract Duration: 12 months 
Pay rate: $110/hr on W2

Join our clients AR TPM team to become world class Electrical Engineering TPM who leads the Electrical Engineering team to deliver consumer electrical products in fast paced programs.

Role overview:
  • Support the Electrical Engineering (EE) team by providing program management and coordination.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and key components.
  • While not required to read detailed electrical layouts, the candidate should have enough EE background to assess whether the team is making sound technical decisions.
  • TPM experience is required but does not need to be at a senior level.
  • The role includes the opportunity to take ownership of future programs as the team grows.
  • The role is ideal for someone with an EE engineering background combined with TPM skills and has experience working with board manufacturer
Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with internal electrical engineering teams and their external counterparts to oversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring milestones are met on schedule and deliverables align with technical requirements.
  • Lead coordination with external vendors to manage the procurement and timely delivery of components, driving the build and assembly of circuit boards.
  • Own the material sourcing strategy and production scheduling with vendors, proactively identifying and resolving supply chain challenges to avoid delays.
  • Serve as the critical interface between engineering teams and vendors, facilitating clear communication to finalize designs, close open issues, and lock production timelines.
  • Anticipate and solve technical and logistical problems throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and risk mitigation.
  • Support post-production activities including scripting and documentation, contributing as an integral member of the cross-functional team.
  • This role focuses on execution and coordination; formal presentations to senior leadership are not expected
Must Have Qualifications:
  • Electrical Engineering background is required, basic EE knowledge, be able to speak EE language, Bachelor’s degree in EE/CSE, engineering, Physics or related field
  • Has program management experience
  • Knowledge of PCBA (rigid circuit, flex, driver board assemblies) manufacturing processes, lead time and component management
  • Knowledge of timelines and processes for engineering schematic design, board layout design, DFM/DFX process, ok2fab, and electrical validation.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes is a plus
  • Vendor management and EE knowledge 
  • Cross functional team managements
  • Experience in delivering complex programs in high-volume manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience in managing and establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience leading design reviews, failure analysis activities and down-selection decision makings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vendor management
  • Experience in directly managing vendors and Contract Manufacturing factories in different time zones.
  • Experience in building schedules and supervising vendors on day-to-day executions.
  • Able to work directly with component vendors to drive long lead time materials
  • Travel required up to 20%

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Augmented Reality products and technologies.
  • Experience with SiP (System in Package) Design and Manufacturing
  • Experience in leading engineering team on electrical boards or driver boards validations and debugging
  • Able to speak Mandarin is a plus
