Press operator
Job Title: Press Operator
Location: 12 South St, Townsend, MA 01469
Pay: $20/hr – Weekly Pay (W2) + Medical, Vision & Dental Benefits
Contract: 3 Months
Shift: Third Shift (Sun–Thu, 11 PM – 7 AM) — Training may occur on First Shift
Job Summary:
Operate and perform manual setup/changeovers on multi-color sheet-fed or high-speed web presses. Responsibilities include press setup, plate mounting, ink mixing (PMS), registration, ink/water balance adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine preventative maintenance to ensure quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete press setup (stock loading, plates, ink, registration, attributes)
- Maintain color accuracy, ink density, and print quality
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make equipment adjustments
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18+
- 2+ years manufacturing/printing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED
- 2+ years printing press experience
- Knowledge of printing processes & ink usage
- Familiarity with Lean principles
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Strong communication skills
