Location: 1400 Merrill Lynch Dr., Pennington, NJ 08534
Pay Rate: $25.90/hour on W2 (paid weekly)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
Training: Onsite 5 days a week.
Start Date: November, pending onboarding completion.
Contract: Initial 7-month contract
Contract Extension or Conversion to FTE: Based on performance, attendance, and business needs

Overview:
The Tax Reporting Operations Analyst will join our Cost Basis Team, which is responsible for researching and updating cost basis information for clients. This involves handling inquiries from branch partners and clients via email and our internal New Service Gateway system regarding updates and research of tax records. You will also be responsible for researching and resolving transactional breaks that lead to inaccurate cost basis data, requiring manual adjustments to the Global Tax Lots system.

Key Responsibilities
- Process routine transactions according to established procedures.
- Manage daily operations functions, including data entry, report generation, and account maintenance.
- Provide quality service and support to internal business partners and external clients.
- Research and resolve client and branch inquiries related to cost basis.
- Analyze and correct transactional discrepancies that cause inaccurate cost basis.
- Ensure accurate and efficient updates to tax lot records, adhering to IRS and industry regulations.
- Assist with training less experienced team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of industry rules, regulations, policies, and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
- 1+ years of experience in a financial operations role.
- Experience working with financial statements and records.
- Proven ability to effectively service and resolve client inquiries.
- Overtime may be offered to support business needs, especially during tax season (January–April).
