Material Handling Technician – 2nd Shift
Job Title: Material Handling Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.35/hour ($18.50 base + 10% shift differential)
Type: 12-month contract (with potential for extension or hire)
Benefits: Weekly pay, Health, Dental, & Vision

Position Overview
We are seeking a Material Handling Technician to join our client's logistics and production support team. This position is responsible for performing both physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unpacking, inspecting, and verifying goods against purchase orders or invoices.

Accurately record and maintain inventory and shipment data.

Reject and document any unsatisfactory or damaged items as needed.

Prepare and package goods for final shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges.

Transport, stock, and distribute materials to inventory and production areas.

Assemble and prepare kits for production use when required.

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely (training or certification may be provided).

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Perform all duties with attention to accuracy, organization, and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience (warehouse, logistics, or material handling).

English proficiency sufficient to follow safety and operating procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
