Job Title: Print & Insertion Machine Operator - 1nd Shift
Location: 800 Samoset Dr., Newark, DE
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (local time)
Work Days: Friday, Saturday, Monday
Must work a minimum of 24 hours per week, with the potential to work up to 40 hours depending on production needs.

Target Start Date: ASAP
Contract End Date: April 30, 2026
Contract Length: Initial 2-month contract with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Print & Insertion Machine Operator to join our production team in a high-volume statement processing environment. In this entry-level role, the operator will be responsible for operating insertion and printing equipment used to produce and process customer statements and other client communications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and capable of maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced production setting. This role requires strong work habits, physical stamina, and the ability to learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment through cross-training.

Team members will be introduced to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles and are expected to contribute to a culture that prioritizes operational efficiency, workplace safety, and service excellence.

This position works under the direct supervision of shift leaders and requires strict adherence to departmental procedures, safety regulations, and customer privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate insertion and printing equipment at a basic proficiency level while meeting established production and quality standards.
- Assist with machine setup and inspect materials and components prior to initiating production.
- Perform routine quality checks on printed and inserted materials to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Complete production documentation, machine logs, and required paperwork accurately and in compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, department policies, and 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment, including high-speed and low-speed machines, as required.
- Accurately load production jobs and follow internal workflow processes.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient production operations.
- Demonstrate awareness of customer privacy policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational efficiencies and improvements.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with consistent attendance, punctuality, and schedule flexibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ year of production-related experience.
• Previous experience operating insertion and/or print equipment.
• Ability to operate insertion and printing equipment at a basic competence level to process customer statements and communications on high-speed printers and rendering equipment for US Government Client mailing.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours continuously.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift.
• Strong teamwork skills and orderly work habits.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to complete basic production data forms.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with English-language production documents and verbal instructions.
• Basic numeric keyboard and PC skills.
• Quick learner with strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and embrace continuous process improvement.
• Aptitude to interpret data and take appropriate action.
• Effective communication skills.
