Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Pay: $60/hour + Paid weekly
Location: 2730 Edmonds Ln Lewisville, Texas
Start Date: ASAP, pending onboarding
Schedule: 8AM to 5PM first for training, then 9am-6pm after
Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day pharmaceutical care and management of patients.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient operations in accordance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations.
• Review and verify all work completed by Pharmacy Technicians, including complex prescriptions and pharmacy automation systems.
• Interact with patients, healthcare providers, clinics, and prescribers regarding patient care and prescription management.
• Review prescriptions prior to dispensing, verifying accuracy and resolving any questionable prescriptions.
• Ensure appropriate storage of pharmaceutical products in compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies (e.g., NABP) standards.
• Maintain active pharmacy licensure and complete required continuing education credits to meet state requirements.
• Assist with shipping logistics, including pre- and post-shipment order support.
• Ensure compliance with company and hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Functional Skills
• Current license to practice Pharmacy in the state of Texas (required).
• 3–5 years of experience as a pharmacist (preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and drug storage protocols.
• Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems and complex prescription processing.
• Ability to oversee, guide, and verify the work of Pharmacy Technicians.
Soft Skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume work environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Education & Additional Requirements
• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• License: Current and active Pharmacy license in the state of Texas (required).
• Experience: 3–5 years in a pharmacist role preferred.
• Additional Requirements:
o Completion of background check
o Employment verification (last five years)
o Ability to work on-site as required
