Remote-Full Stack Programmer (PHP)

Job Title: Full Stack Programmer IV
Location: Remote (EST/PST)
Pay rate: $80-$85/hr on W2
Duration: 06+ Months (extension possible)
Reason for Request: Replacement
 
Job Summary:
  • The Full Stack Programmer IV will develop both front-end and back-end solutions, primarily focusing on backend development for Horizon TV, with potential VR application development. The role involves designing user interactions, developing servers and databases, and delivering high-quality code in a collaborative environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain application programs and interfaces.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitations.
  • Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
  • Monitor system capacity and performance; plan and execute disaster recovery procedures.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in live systems.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to peers.
  • Design backend architectures and data models; document technical solutions, APIs, and system changes.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical support for production systems, including incident response and disaster recovery planning.
  • Identify, escalate, and document production impact issues.
  • Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs for feasibility, cost, and compatibility.
 
Must-Have Skills:
  • Hack/PHP development experience
  • GraphQL or other graph database technologies
  • Backend development expertise
 
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Previous big tech like META experience
 
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 6–8 years of professional development experience
 
Interview Process:
  • 2 Rounds: 1 coding, 1 behavioral
  • Conducted via Zoom
  • Duration: ~30 minutes each
