Location: Full Remote
Duration: 3+ Months possibility of extension
Pay: $19/hr
Summary
Responsible for processing claims to customer funds received from third parties. Claims include garnishments, levies, liens and information subpoenas received from creditors and taxing authorities. Also responsible for processing 1099-K corrections for *** customers.
Job duties include:
Examine garnishments, levies, liens and information subpoenas to ensure accuracy, completeness and legal sufficiency.
Review account files to determine whether any customer accounts on Square's platform are implicated.
Restrain and release funds held in accounts.
Prepare response documents and submit responses to third parties according to established timelines and legal requirements.
Communicate with customers, creditors, taxing authorities, attorneys and officers of the court.
Maintain tracking system and provide details supporting actions taken in the event of escalations.
Assist customers with making 1099-K tax form corrections
Skills
Pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants will be considered for assignment with arrest and conviction records. Criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship with some of the material job duties of this position. These include the duties and responsibilities listed above, as well as the abilities to adhere to company policies, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage stress and work safely and respectfully with others, exhibit trustworthiness, meet client expectations, standards, and accompanying requirements, and safeguard business operations and company reputation.
