Start Date: Targeting Jun 2026
Pay Rate: $63.38/hr. - $70.42/hr. on W2
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision.
Job Description:
- Product Manager 2 (Contractor) is a key member of the Nordstrom Store Operations product team, driving execution across a defined set of objectives within the Customer Orders domain. The focus is on delivery — translating well-scoped requirements into development-ready work, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and ensuring momentum across execution-track workstreams.
- The Product Manager 2 will partner with Store Operations, UX, and Engineering to support the development and delivery of Store Operational solutions, including Store Fulfillment for Omni Channel. This is a contract position supporting the Store Customer Orders program.
A day in the life…
Solid practitioner of the following competencies, operating independently on assigned workstreams:
- Own a defined set of product objectives within the Customer Orders portfolio, prioritizing features based on business goals, UX, and stakeholder feedback
- Establish and monitor success metrics (OKRs and KPIs) for assigned workstreams
- Prioritize and maintain the product backlog for assigned workstreams, ensuring engineering teams are unblocked and moving forward against delivery targets
- Support tactical prioritization and ensure alignment across business and technical stakeholders
- Support requirements definition inclusive of wireframes, process flows, user stories, and other supporting artifacts
- Contribute to and execute go-to-market strategy, including UAT, communications, change management, and post-go-live validations
- Support system health and performance through incident triage and maintenance initiatives
- Partner with UX, Research, and Engineering on feature design and development to ensure objectives are maintained
- Act as point of contact for assigned stakeholders — providing updates, gathering feedback, and fostering communication across teams
- Drive root cause analysis on KPI performance for assigned workstreams
You consistently demonstrate the following strengths:
- You bring energy and ownership to your work, showing genuine passion for your product and, most importantly, your customers.
- You approach challenges with a can-do attitude — understanding both stated and unstated issues, proposing thoughtful solutions, and owning them through resolution or clear hand-off.
- You comfortably shift between complex strategic thinking and routine execution, often within the same day.
- You effectively evangelize your ideas, vision, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels — from managers to engineers to end users.
- You ask insightful questions, listen actively, and seek to deepen your understanding — a lifelong learning mindset.
- You align technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, persuasive communication.
- You build trust across organizational levels through strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication.
You own this if you have…
- Minimum 3+ years of product management experience; physical store, fulfillment, or supply chain experience preferred
- Proven ability to take well-defined requirements and drive them through to development and delivery with minimal ramp-up time
- Ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Experience working across matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholder groups and third-party system dependencies
- Technical background and understanding of software development principles, Agile development, and testing methodologies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships with teams such as Analytics, Engineering, and UX
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presenting at various levels in a matrixed organization
