Job Title: Senior Administrative Business Partner
Location: 1 DNA Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080
Duration: 12-Month Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $21.66 – $34.96/hr (W2)
Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, Vision
Hybrid model (three days in office) Anchor days are Tuesdays & Thursdays
Position Overview
The Senior Administrative Business Partner (Sr. ABP) provides high-level administrative and operational support to Senior and Executive leaders within Early Clinical Development. This role requires a proactive, highly organized, and customer-focused professional who can anticipate business needs, manage sensitive information with discretion, and partner effectively across teams to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
Interactions frequently involve confidential and time-sensitive matters. The Sr. ABP works closely with leadership, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes and support critical business initiatives.

Position Overview

This role requires a proactive, highly organized, and customer-focused professional who can anticipate business needs, manage sensitive information with discretion, and partner effectively across teams to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
Interactions frequently involve confidential and time-sensitive matters. The Sr. ABP works closely with leadership, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes and support critical business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage complex executive calendars, meetings, and priorities
- Coordinate and oversee detailed domestic and international travel logistics
- Plan and support large internal meetings, department forums, and committee sessions
- Utilize advanced Genentech IT systems and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., cSuite platforms)
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strict confidentiality
- Create and manage contracts, purchase orders, expense reports, and payment processing
- Support candidate scheduling and interview coordination
- Plan and execute team-building events, workshops, and leadership meetings (role-dependent)
- Independently lead complex team offsites involving multiple locations, days, and travel needs
- Draft professional email communications on behalf of leaders, teams, or departments
- Maintain and manage departmental digital platforms (gSites, Slack, websites, newsletters)
- Provide project management support for Quality Compliance & Clinical Capabilities (QC3) initiatives
- Perform additional responsibilities based on evolving business needs
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to facilitate teamwork and cross-functional alignment
- Demonstrated judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality standards
- Ability to make independent decisions based on experience, context, and business priorities
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders and executive-level management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- In-depth experience with cSuite and collaboration tools, including gMail, gCal, gSheets, gSlides, Trello, Jamboard, gMeet, and Zoom
- Ability to train or guide others on tools and systems as needed
- 5–7 years of relevant administrative, operations, or project management experience
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
