Manufacturing Associate I
Job Title: Manufacturing Associate I
Location: 8830 Biggs Ford Road Walkersville, MD 21793
Duration: 6 months contract possible extension or conversion to FTE
Pay Rate: $16.95 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (some overtime and weekend work required)
Job Description:
The Manufacturing Associate I will support finishing operations including product screening, kit assembly, and preparation of packaging materials. This role requires accuracy in documentation, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the finishing area by screening product components and assembling kits.

Prepare packing materials and supplies for finishing activities.

Assist in reviewing departmental paperwork and logbooks for accuracy and compliance.

Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and maintain quality systems.

Promote and maintain a safe working environment, following all company safety policies and regulations.
Quality & Safety Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with cGMP and company quality systems, ensuring adherence to processes, procedures, and work instructions.

Comply with all safety policies, rules, and regulations; ensure team members also follow safety guidelines.
Job Scope:

Works on problems of limited scope, applying standard practices and procedures.

Analyzes situations or data to obtain readily available answers.

Interaction is primarily with internal team members.

Operates in a fast-paced, safety-oriented team environment.
Working Conditions:
-
Majority of work performed in a laboratory environment.

Scrubs, hairnet, and plant-dedicated shoes required in unclassified areas.

May involve standing for long periods, exposure to noise, repetitive motion, confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Some weekend and overtime work required based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline preferred.

0–3 years of experience; prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Strong logical reasoning, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Visual Acuity Test (eye exam) required prior to start.
