Expected Hours per Week: 40
Expected Duration: 6 months


Additional Information: They need to be local to Columbus and willing to work on site 5 days a week.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Senior Software Test Automation Engineer oversees Test Automation work across multiple teams. This includes leading design, build, refactoring, and preparing deployments for Test Automation Frameworks.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Talented Software Test Automation Engineer with the ability to lead on technical decisions.
  2. Proficient with hybrid scrum/extreme programming teams to adopt modern Test Automation, Dev-Ops, behavior-driven development and test-driven development practices.
  3. Strong skills with Test Automation coding, execution and reporting standards.
  4. Effectively communicate requirements, use design patterns, and use modern development practices and consistently maintain Test Automation Frameworks.
  5. As a Senior Engineer, develop and maintain strong team relationships primarily on the team assigned but also develop relationships with other teams with similar tech stacks.
  6. Mentor & Coach less experienced Test Automation Engineers helping them to grow in their current role.
  7. Drive manual and automated QA for packaged applications (ERP).
  8. Contribute to best practices for the organization for Test Automation.
  9. Contribute to recommendations for appropriate tools for organization's needs related to Test Automation.
  10. Assist with the delivery of projects, collaborate with resource managers, and work with technical leads and dev-ops teams with their Test Automation releases.
  11. Prioritize and manages own workload, issues, and risks.
  12. Limited travel when required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • 7 years of experience leading Test Automation teams.
  • 7 years of experience testing ERP applications (SAP) and Integrations.
  • 7 years of hands-on experience working with object-oriented-languages (JavaScript strongly preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in a Scrum/XP software development role.
  • 5 years of hands-on manual testing and validation of ERP applications.
  • 3 in Mobile Application Automation testing (e.g., Appium).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  1. Excellent Communication skills.
  2. Experienced in Extreme Programming practices, can coach Behavior Driven Development, Test Driven Development and related practices, knows to "keep the campground clean,” interested in Domain Driven Design
  3. Assist with transformational change in an emergent agile culture
  4. Experienced in Scrum Practices, could easily act as a scrum master and author user stories with GHERKIN with acceptance criteria
  5. Has knowledge ot how to leverage static and dynamic code scanning results
  6. Understands modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices, e.g., red/green deployments, ensure segregation of duties
  7. Experience in Tech Stacks under management: xUnit, advanced Test Automation frameworks, Nodejs, Rest API's, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, and .Net
  8. Experience of the following: SAP ECC (SD, MM, IM, FICO, and PS), SAP CRM, Concur, HRIS, Salesforce.com, and middleware
  9. Strong written and verbal communications skills
