Job Title: Material Handling Technician – Shift 2
Location: 9115 Hague Road Indianapolis, IN 46256
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $20.35/hour
Contract Type: 1 year contract with potential extension or conversion to a direct hire

Job Description:
The Material Handling Technician is responsible for performing both physical and administrative tasks in support of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures materials flow accurately and efficiently into inventory and manufacturing lines while adhering to company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform shipping and receiving activities, including unpacking, checking goods against purchase orders/invoices, and maintaining records of received items.

Reject unsatisfactory items as necessary and escalate discrepancies.

Lift heavy items and safely operate forklifts or other material handling equipment.

Prepare merchandise for shipment, including posting weights, calculating charges, and preparing goods for final distribution.

Stock and distribute materials to inventory locations and manufacturing lines.

Prepare kitting packages to support assembly production as required.

Work within established SOPs and methods under moderate supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

English proficiency required to follow and promote safety procedures for machinery and equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:

Basic computer skills with familiarity using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills, with a proactive mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Ability to perform basic math calculations.
