Job Title: Senior Software UI Engineer - Content Controllership Engineering
Location: Remote (Pacific Time Zone)
Compensation: $90.00-$100.00/hr
Details: 5 month contract on W2 (Benefits eligible)

Position Overview:

• The Content Controllership Engineering team develops the financial accounting and payments application used by the Content Controllership and Accounting teams to accurately account for and pay for our owned and licensed content. As the spend on original and licensed content scales, we provide the automated workflows necessary to handle asset setup, cost allocation, amortization, liabilities, and contingent compensation obligations.
• We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to assist in and collaborate on the modernization and expansion of the Content Controllership ecosystem. You will work on migrating legacy workflows to our new architecture, building new tools and workflows for our financial partners, and managing high-scale integrations with the studio ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Work at all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, and support)
• Collaborate in engineering efforts to modernize and improve legacy architecture, designing innovative and efficient solutions.
• Build UI workflows to improve our users' experience and self-serve in case of blockers from the backend.
• Build and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
• Deliver robust solutions for our Content Finance partners that enable them to optimize their processes and operate more efficiently.
• Be flexible, open, and react fast to changing priorities and projects.

Requirements:

• UI & Frontend Expertise: A deep understanding of React and UI frameworks is required. 5+ years of experience.
• Backend Expertise: Intermediate understanding of Java (Spring Boot) is desired.
• API Design: Proficiency in integrating and consuming GraphQL APIs and RESTful services. Experience with defining schemas, mutations, and field-level security policies.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and debugging applications in an AWS environment (EC2, S3, SQS).
• Communication is your strong suit: in code, in email, and face-to-face. Ability to talk and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with common AI tooling and leverages it to boost productivity and efficiency

Nice to Haves or Preferred Skills:

• Financial Accounting: Understanding of accounting principles. Familiarity with concepts like Capitalization, Amortization, General Ledger (GL), and Accounts Payable (AP).
