Duration: 9+ Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr on W2
Job Summary
We’re seeking a Linguist II with native-level fluency in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) to develop language components for cutting-edge voice-enabled technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong linguistic data analysis skills and experience with LLM-powered data synthesis, prompt engineering, localization, and quality evaluation.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics.
- Collaborate on data collection, curation, translation, and annotation for ML models.
- Evaluate and improve model/data quality using LLM solutions.
- Develop linguistic analyses and contribute to prompt engineering.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Master’s in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Speech Science, or related field (*or Bachelor’s + 2+ years’ experience*).
- Native/near-native fluency in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) + at least one other language.
- Knowledge of Indian languages and cultural nuances (preferred).
- Experience with linguistic data analysis, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL, RegEx, and data annotation tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- PhD in Linguistics or related field.
- Proficiency in Traditional Chinese and/or Python.
- Experience with NLP libraries, machine learning frameworks.
