Job Title: Licensed Insurance Conservation Specialist
Pay: $21.00–$26.00/hour
Location: Fully Remote (NY, CA, HI or AK)
Schedule: Must be available between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, based on the candidate's local time zone. Evening, weekend, holiday, rotating shifts, and overtime may be required based on business needs.
Start Date: July 2026, potential for extension and conversion depending on performance, attendance, & business needs.
Job Summary:      
The Conservation Specialist is a licensed insurance sales agent that is responsible for retaining existing customers who are calling to cancel plans. This will include, but not limited to, assisting customers with applying for new coverage within client Healthcare. The Conservation specialist is also responsible for assisting Under 65 customers (U65).
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handle inbound calls from existing Medicare Supplement customers requesting policy cancellations; assess and identify the reasons behind the request.
  • Conduct needs assessments to explore solutions that address customer concerns and reduce cancellations.
  • Perform outbound wellness checks with existing customers to strengthen engagement and retention.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to current customers when appropriate.
  • Support sales team projects and contribute to assigned initiatives as needed.
  • Provide market feedback on customer trends, marketing campaigns, and plan operations.
  • Maintain product knowledge across all offerings, processes, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism by consistently maintaining a positive attitude and courteous demeanor.
  • Participate in meetings and complete required training sessions.
  • Maintain active licensing and appointments in all Healthspring Medicare markets.
  • Work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts in compliance with CMS guidelines.
  • Provide overtime support as required by business needs.
  • Multitask across systems
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in sales/service, at least 2 years telephonic experience, active Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams); adept with laptops, cameras, desk phones; accurate data entry; ability to leverage scripts, tools, and technology.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; excellent listening; effective interpersonal abilities; team-oriented.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to exceptional service in selling and servicing customers; ability to perform needs analysis to understand customer requirements.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking; accuracy and productivity in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Compliance: Adherence to regulatory requirements; understanding of Healthspring Medicare products (Advantage, Supplement, Part D, Ancillary).
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently in a high-volume call center; flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; adherence to phone schedules (8:00am–8:00pm across time zones).
  • Preferred: Call center experience during AEP; background in Medicare Advantage/Supplement or healthcare insurance industry.
