Product Strategist
Location: Fully remote (US)
Market rate: $85-95/hr (W2)
Schedule: M-F, 40 hours, 5 days; no OT
Duration: Initial 12-month contract with probable extension/conversion
Target Start: October/November

Job Overview:
The Product Strategy team's mission is to shape the best strategic direction.
We do so by monitoring and analyzing trends driving our industry, identifying consumer needs, adding structure to ambiguous problems, and framing key decisions for our leaders. We work closely with product leaders and other cross-functional teams to define and translate our work into actionable insights to influence the long-term product roadmap.
Successful candidates for this position will have or develop a deep understanding of the product landscape, including trends, players, technologies, and underlying dynamics. They will partner with cross-functional teams (eg. business development, data engineering, data science) to utilize data sources and conduct analytics. The ideal candidate will have solid data analysis skills, good product sense, project management skills and structured thinking & communication.
Key Projects:
You will involved in the industry insights program, working on AI information. You'll be managing data-heavy workflows, and you'll need to be competent in financial modeling, managing large data sets, and using that info update charts.
Responsibilities:

- Data Management: Use 3P services to compile and organize benchmarking data on an ongoing basis
- Data Visualization: Transform raw data into tables/charts/graphs for presentations
- Research: Find, collect, and synthesize information from external and internal sources
- Analysis: Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information to surface industry insights
- Communication & Collaboration: Work with Product Strategy teammates and XFN partners and build/share/present work as needed
- 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, strategy, data analytics/data science, business operations and/or program management
- 2+ years of experience leading projects that incorporated data strategy/analytics/data science at a consulting firm, in a corporate strategy team, at an investment bank, or similar
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in business, marketing, analtyics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline
- Experience in analytics, modeling, and data visualization, including advanced proficiency with Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Word/Docs, and knowledge of SQL (data, creating simple queries)
- Demonstrated experience structuring and solving analytical problems
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders/teams to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated experience of presenting to leadership and influencing product decisionas
- Masters’ degree or equivalent in business, marketing, analytics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline (e.g. MBA)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy, business operations, and/or program management
- Experience in the consumer internet space, including social, communications, media, and entertainment verticals
- Someone who is familiar with our industry and has experience doing heavy, strategic lifting. They’re able to go in depth to research and analysis to produce reports for leaders.
