Job Title: Material Handling Technician – Shift 3
Location: 9115 Hague Road Indianapolis, IN 46256
Shift & Schedule: 3rd Shift – Sunday to Friday, 9:15 PM to 6:00 AM
Duration: 1 year contract with potential extension or conversion
Pay Rate: $21.09 per hour

Job Description:
The Material Handling Technician is responsible for performing both physical and administrative tasks to ensure the accurate shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role supports inventory accuracy, manufacturing requirements, and the safe, efficient operation of warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, unpack, and inspect goods against purchase orders or invoices.

Maintain accurate records of received goods; reject unsatisfactory items when necessary.

Lift heavy items and operate a forklift as needed.

Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, post weights and charges, and ready goods for final shipment.

Stock and distribute materials to inventory locations and manufacturing lines.

Prepare kitting packages for assembly production as required.

Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety protocols.

Work with a moderate degree of supervision while meeting operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

English proficiency to follow, maintain, and promote safety requirements and machinery procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Ability to perform basic math calculations.
