Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced SE Engineer with 5+ years in system performance and architectural analysis for SoC chipsets. The role involves evaluating CPU/MIPS, bus bandwidth, latency, user experience/game performance, and memory utilization across subsystems. You will use performance tools to analyze load patterns, identify constraints, and optimize performance for VR SoC subsystems including CPU, GPU, NSP, memory, camera, display, and video.
- The role requires improving performance and memory usage through software optimization, SW/HW partitioning, cache/TCM adjustments, and leveraging lab setups with power measurement equipment. Familiarity with SoC design, voltage rails, power domains, and clocks is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct system performance and architectural analysis for current and upcoming SoC chipsets.
- Evaluate performance KPIs across VR SoC subsystems and correlate with projections.
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and optimize software/hardware accordingly.
- Utilize and adapt simulators and performance/power models, including full-system models.
- Work with lab setups and power measurement tools (DAQs, Perfetto, NIDAQ).
- Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage ambiguity in a fast-changing consumer electronics environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in system/SoC performance analysis.
- Experience in multi-layer, use-case driven HW power modeling.
- Proficiency with performance/power tools and simulators.
- Experience programming in C, C++, or Python.
- Knowledge of Qualcomm SoC architecture.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, proactive with creative and critical thinking skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Interview:
- 1 interview (30 minutes)
