Job Title: Lab Technician III
Location: 535 North Emerald Road Greenwood, SC 29646
Duration: 6-month contract (possibility for extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $16.22 - $27.03 per hour
Schedule: M–F, standard business hours
Workspace: PD and QC Department
Job Description:
The Analytical Coordinator / Lab Technician will support Lonza’s ingredients portfolio through independent laboratory testing, analytical method development, and competitive product evaluations. This role bridges product development, quality control, and commercial support by ensuring accurate testing, validating methods, and providing technical insights to both internal teams and customers. The position is well-suited for candidates with a recent Bachelor’s degree or Master’s students nearing graduation seeking industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct independent analytical testing to support product development and quality control.

Facilitate technology transfer and assist with onboarding global/local testing laboratories.

Perform competitive product evaluations through lab-based testing and analysis.

Contribute to the development and validation of stability testing methods tailored to customer products.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve testing methodologies and laboratory innovation.

Monitor and analyze market trends to provide competitive insights and identify risks.

Collaborate with the commercial team to respond to technical inquiries with accurate, timely data.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (recent graduates encouraged).

Strong analytical and laboratory skills with attention to detail.

Ability to conduct independent lab work and follow SOPs and testing protocols.

Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree (or currently pursuing) in a scientific discipline.

Experience with analytical testing, method development, or stability studies.
- Familiarity with technology transfer processes and QC environments.
- Ability to analyze market trends and present technical insights effectively.
