Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: 1000 New Horizons Way Vacaville California USA 95688
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Conversion)
Pay Rate: $26.97 - $44.95/hr
Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
Work Model: Fully Onsite-2 Day Shift roles available left: Front and Back Day shifts
Front = Sunday - Wednesday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)
Back = Wednesday - Saturday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)
Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Process Mechanic is to maximize equipment availability for processing by safely maintaining equipment through, Preventive and Corrective maintenance and repairs.
In support of these activities, Process Maintenance provides personnel 24/hours/day, 7 days per week for maintenance, discrepancy response, contractor oversight, vendor resource management, project support and training.
All Process Mechanics are trained to perform routine maintenance in the primary manufacturing support areas and Materials Management, Quality Control Labs, and Utility Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Repair and perform repetitive maintenance on valves, centrifuges, pumps, autoclaves, washers, tanks, and associated piping.
- Maintain detail-oriented documentation to ensure Right-First-Time operations.
- Escalate process issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Comply with cGMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation requirements.
- Complete tasks and work orders on time with accurate documentation, following standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, and policies.
- Ensure safe operation of tools and shop equipment, and execute work safely in the field.
- Utilize computer systems effectively, including corporate intranet, CMMS, and standard word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, Engineering, and other departments to ensure proper equipment and system performance.
- Assist with system start-up and validation activities.
- Collect and organize technical data from equipment manufacturers, users, and engineering personnel.
- Support identification, purchasing, and organization of spare parts.
- Train other mechanics in both group and individual settings.
- Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID).
- Evaluate and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide updates where necessary.
- Comply with all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies.
- Perform confined space entries as required.
- Work at heights to access valves and lockout points.
- Rebuild pumps, valves, bearing assemblies, and mechanical seals.
- Conduct safety inspections of rigging and fall protection equipment.
- High School Diploma.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of industrial process maintenance and systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodations.
- Valid driver’s license.
