Position Details
Exciting opportunity to join a multinational company that designs and builds electrical systems and provides services for the aerospace, defense, transportation, and security markets!
Job Title: Electronic Assembler III
Shift: Monday to Friday start time will be 5:30am – 2pm with OT. (OT in CA is not mandatory, but the manager is looking for individuals that understand and want to work OT to help get the team caught up).
Location: 53 Discovery, Irvine, CA 92618
Benefits: Weekly pay and Medical dental and vision insurance
Pay Rate: $25/hr. on W2.
Contract Length: 8 months

The Electronics Assembler III oversees performing within his / her area of technological specification; tasks in the manufacturing process in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and the time allocated using the resources available (including conventional and/or digital machine tools) and inspects his / her own work. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Essential Functions:
Works from assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
Identifies and selects components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units
Utilizes a wide range of tools including soldering iron
Interfaces with PC to record job activities
Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and understand engineering revision nomenclature
Know how to read and follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and MAI (manufacturing assembly instructions)
Must be able to learn and utilize Company's resources such as MRP-SAP, Chorus 2.0, Team Center to verify all related documents and procedures.
Assists the Line Lead to ensure calibration/certification on all test equipment and hand tools are up to date and/or turn into tool crib for calibration and certification.
Support the line and actively participates with continuous improvement program by following Lean Concepts and 5S guidelines.
Must be flexible with jobs that can assist in other production lines, warehouse/stockroom, and kitting team as well as helping assembly line when required.
High School Diploma/GED or one-year certificate from college/technical school or two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 to 5 years of experience in electronic mechanical assembly and/or cabling and harnessing
Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions
Excellent Team player with proven ability to accomplish goals through collaboration
Flexible with jobs that can assist in other areas
Adequate Computer knowledge to look up engineering EOs using local database and other required documentation prior to starting a job
Prototype cable manufacturing experience (IPC-620 certification)
Mechanical assembly (IPC-610 certification)
Soldering skills (IPC-610 certification) a plus
