Sourcing Specialist, Diagnostics Direct Procurement
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour (based on experienced)
Location: Onsite in Tucson, AZ 1910 East Innovation Park Drive (Mandatory to be on-site at least 3 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays at Oro Valley Campus and Wednesday at Marana campus)
Duration: 1 year contact (potential for extension and/or permanent placement)
Summary of Position:
Responsible for supporting and executing Direct Procurement Operations activities, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies. This role focuses on supplier coordination, issue escalations, master data management, cost savings initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field; a post-graduate business qualification is a plus.
- 3+ years of procurement experience, including basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP software.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.
- Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in Life Sciences is desirable.
- Experience with enterprise systems, procure-to-pay tools, and eSourcing tools is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understands and frequently uses quantitative and/or qualitative data to support procurement decisions and identify potential risks.
- Supports the development and implementation of negotiation plans or strategies and may assist in complex or challenging negotiations.
- Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind.
- Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding.
- Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information.
- Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process.
