Regulatory Operations Manager

Join the Cities Team, a cross-functional supply engine at the heart of Airbnb’s global operations. You will support our two newest verticals—Services and Experiences—designed to make guest stays more magical through local expertise and specialized services.

As a Regulatory Operations Manager, you aren't just following rules; you are building the infrastructure that allows these new businesses to scale safely. You will bridge the gap between complex local regulations and a seamless host experience, ensuring our marketplace remains compliant, ethical, and thriving.

• Architect Compliance: Drive the execution plans for regulatory funnels across diverse global geographies.

• Data-Driven Integrity: Build and QA the reporting pipelines that prove our compliance to internal leaders and external governments.

• Host Advocacy: Act as the "voice of the host," ensuring that regulatory requirements are implemented in a way that supports, rather than hinders, our community.

• Cross-Functional Catalyst: Align Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy teams to deliver automated, scalable technical solutions.

• Operations & Scaling: Develop and execute plans to gather, verify, and maintain regulatory data across different business categories.

• Analytics & SQL: Dive into large datasets to identify trends, surface anomalies, and build dynamic BI dashboards for risk assessment.

• Stakeholder Syncs: Coordinate with technical and legal partners to translate complex laws into actionable product requirements.

• Incident Management: Triage and resolve high-priority escalations and regulatory inquiries with a "scrappy yet polished" approach.

• Milestone Reporting: Communicate outcomes and strategic recommendations to leadership, ensuring project transparency.

• Experience: 5+ years in Compliance Ops, Legal Ops, Program Management, or Data Analytics within highly regulated, fast-paced industries.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and experience with BI/dashboarding tools are essential. You should be comfortable working with "imperfect" data to find clear answers.

• Influence: Proven ability to drive results in a matrixed environment and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Mindset: Entrepreneurial and adaptable; you enjoy the "ambiguity" of a brand-new vertical and are comfortable moving quickly.

• Bonus Points: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools in the compliance or legal operations space.

• Timezone Preference: Ideally based in EST (Eastern Standard Time) to align with global stakeholders, but we are open to PST for the right candidate.
