Material Handler
Job Title: Material Handler II
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift CST
Location: Houston, TX (100% On-site)
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Overview
We are seeking top talent to join our Production Support team. The Material Handler plays a key role in the Supply Chain/Materials Management department, with responsibilities in goods movement, inventory control, and good documentation practices. This position involves work in production-controlled areas and requires cross-training over time to gain full knowledge of site operations.
Ideal candidates will have pharmaceutical industry experience, SAP knowledge, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general supplies and stock materials for daily use by production teams.
- Gain competency in SAP transactions related to core duties.
- Accurately enter SAP material movement transactions, ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and SOPs.
- Prepare materials for production use (e.g., wiping down items for staging area entry) and complete associated system transactions.
- Support inventory maintenance alongside team members.
- Complete ongoing training to expand knowledge, including equipment operation and Employee Health & Safety (EHS) chemical awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow up to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
