Job Title: High Risk Incident Coordinator

Work hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: 6-months (With high chance of contract extension or conversion)
Work set-up: Hybrid (Occasional travel for Office visits or offsite may be required)
Pay rate: $54.00 Hr

Airbnb is looking for a High-Risk Incident Coordinator to join our Fraud & Safety Operations (FSO) team. In this remote-eligible role, you will conduct retrospective analyses of the most severe online and offline incidents to evaluate our current defenses. Your goal is to identify gaps, recommend remediations, and provide the insights necessary to evolve our safety capabilities for a global community of over 4 million Hosts.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigative Analysis: Perform deep-dive reviews of severe incidents to measure the effectiveness of existing FSO defenses.
• Remediation & Strategy: Identify vulnerabilities and recommend actionable improvements to bolster platform security and user safety.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to communicate defense performance and align on future expansion capabilities.
• Project Coordination: Assist in managing the end-to-end remediation process for identified issues, ensuring solutions are driven to completion.
• Documentation: Maintain rigorous and accurate records of findings, trends, and strategic recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience: 57+ years in Planning, Operations, or Consulting roles.
• Environment: Proven track record working in highly cross-functional settings requiring clear communication with diverse stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency

• Project Management Tools: Mastery of Incident.io, Asana, and Airtable.
• Data & Automation: High proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), specifically utilizing formulas for workflow automation.
• Communication: Expert familiarity with Slack, Gmail, and Zoom.

• Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect complex data sets to identify patterns and trends in incident behavior.
• Bias for Action: A proactive mindset focused on identifying opportunities and swiftly implementing solutions.
