Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Technician I
Location: 9115 Hague Road Indianapolis, IN 46256
Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Contract Type: 1 year contract with potential extension or conversion to a direct hire

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to perform in-house servicing, maintenance, and repair of company products at our on-site service center. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hardware, software, and systems issues, performing calibrations, and documenting results to support product reliability and quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience in mechanical or electronic systems and a strong background in diagnostics and repair.




Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-house servicing and repairs of company products in accordance with established procedures.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and system failures using standard tools and troubleshooting methods.

  • Conduct maintenance, calibration, and functional testing of repaired equipment.

  • Document repair activities, parts usage, and calibration results accurately.

  • Prepare and maintain reports for analysis of product failure trends and recurring service issues.

  • Collaborate with field technicians to gather detailed information relevant to diagnostics and repair procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety procedures, and quality assurance policies.




Education & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with 3–5 years of experience in a related technical field.

  • Preferred Backgrounds:

    • Military Technical Training (Electronics, Aviation, or Mechanical Systems)

    • Aviation Technician or Aerospace Maintenance

    • Biomedical or Medical Equipment Engineer

    • Automotive Mechanics or Mechatronics Technician




Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

  • Hands-on experience with repair, calibration, and testing tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and maintenance systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and safety awareness.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned repairs while meeting quality and time requirements.
